ABUJA – AS Nigeria continued to grapple with alarming road crashes, a nonprofit organization, Lifeline Care has marked 20 years of saving lives on Nigerian roads.

The organization which has been very active and working with relevant government organisations and embarking on capacity building activities explained that it is worth celebrating the impact it has made so far in emergencies, treatments and training.

While celebrating its 20th anniversary with a dinner hosted by its Board of Trustees showed that it is a testament to the organization’s tireless efforts in making Nigerian roads safer.

Meanwhile, the 20th anniversary ceremony had in attendance, including Chief Osita Chidoka, a former Minister of Aviation and Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who delivered the keynote address; Amal Pepple, a former Minister of Housing and Head of Service; Sen. Sanusi Daggash; Alh. Kashim Imam, former Chairman of TETFUND and President of the KCOBA; and Bolanle Onagoruwa, a Trustee of Lifeline Care.

The evening was filled with testimonials from beneficiaries of Lifeline Care’s programmes, who shared success stories of how the organization had changed their lives. The organization’s commitment to reducing road crashes and saving lives was evident in the impactful words shared by these beneficiaries, who are a testament to the organization’s success.

The event also recognized the contributions of corporate partners who have supported Lifeline Care’s mission.

Lifeline Care was founded 20 years ago with the vision of making Nigerian roads safer. Since then, it has made significant strides in reducing road crashes and fatalities through its various programs and initiatives. The organization has provided medical care to thousands of victims of road accidents, promoted road safety awareness, and advocated for policy changes to improve road safety.

However, as Nigeria continues to grapple with the scourge of road crashes, Lifeline Care’s work is more relevant than ever. The organization’s efforts have undoubtedly saved countless lives, and its continued support is crucial to making Nigerian roads safer.

The organization also presented Corporate Social Responsibility Awards to Custodian Insurance, ENL Consortium, Eta Zuma Group, and the Stanley Jegede Foundation, in appreciation of their commitment to social responsibility and road safety.

In his keynote address, Chief Osita Chidoka, commended Lifeline Care for its dedication to reducing road crashes and fatalities in Nigeria.

Chidoka also shared some valuable data backed steps the nation could take to reduce road accident victims on the roads.

The event also paid tribute to two notable Nigerians, Gen. Owoye Azazi (former NSA) and Sen. Gbenga Aluko, who were posthumously recognized for their support to Lifeline Care. Their contributions to the organization’s mission will not be forgotten.

As Lifeline Care looks to the future, it is clear that its work is far from over. The organization will continue to work tirelessly to reduce road crashes and fatalities in Nigeria, and it will do so with the support of its partners and stakeholders.
