A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Sunday Okoro, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as the President’s firm handling of insecurity and the stabilisation of the nation’s economy.

Okoro, who stated this in a statement made available to newsmen, said no country is insulated from insecurity, noting that Tinubu’s response to recent security breaches showed commitment and leadership.

He said: “No country is immune to insecurity and our country is also not immune to that. This is why we must praise the President for his doggedness in the fight against insecurity. His quick response after the school children were kidnapped in both Kebbi and Niger states showed a leader intent on serving the people with sincerity and purpose.”

He also commended the President for the swift appointment of General Christopher Musa as Minister of Defence, saying it ensured there was no vacuum following the exit of the former minister.

Okoro further lauded the President over the relative stability in the economy, attributing it to Tinubu’s early policy decisions.
He said: “He inherited a very poor economy but Tinubu was not deterred. Today, there is stability in both inflation and foreign exchange, and all these are due to his economic policies which were biting at the initial stage.”

Meanwhile, Okoro, who is based in California, USA, used the opportunity to celebrate his wife, Mrs. Patience Okoro on her birthday, offering heartfelt praises for her support and virtues.

He said: “I salute you today on your birthday. Your presence alone in my life has been a huge source of strength in all that I do.

“As you celebrate this day, just be rest assured that we are celebrating together because you have given me the reason to do that. I pray for you today; greater are the years ahead of you in Jesus’ name. Greater will you soar in your life endeavours and your paths are littered with God’s unspeakable blessings.”
