Entourage Integrated Trust, a leading microfinance institution in Nigeria, has released new insights highlighting the critical role of women in driving financial growth. The data shows that women borrowers consistently demonstrate exceptional financial discipline, with faster repayment rates and lower delinquency than their male counterparts.
Speaking at the firm’s briefing with the media, the Chief Executive Officer, Entourage Integrated Trust, Mr Seyi Asagun said women borrowers have proven to be not just reliable partners but powerful catalysts for economic growth.
“Their disciplined approach to finance and deep community connections reduce financial risk and create a ripple effect of positive economic impact, transforming entire families and communities,” said Asagun.
According to him, the trend aligns with global microfinance insights, which consistently show that investing in women entrepreneurs drives broader social and economic benefits, noting that “women are known to reinvest more of their earnings into their families and communities, creating a cycle of growth that benefits everyone.”
