Arieli Foundation expands to three northern states to tackle maternal and child healthcare

The Arieli Foundation, established by Dr. Natasha C. Oyibo in 2023, is taking bold steps to address the pressing issue of maternal and child mortality.

With its headquarters in Abuja, the Foundation has expanded its reach to Nasarawa, Kaduna, and Niger States, and is poised for greater continental and international impact .

Through strategic partnerships with governments, international NGOs, and global health organizations, the Foundation is advancing a comprehensive approach to maternal and child healthcare. This includes workforce development, mobile clinics, menstrual health education, nutrition programs, mental health support, clean water initiatives, and AI-powered healthcare solutions for risk prediction.

According to Dr. Oyibo, the Foundation’s holistic, evidence-based approach ensures sustainable change in communities where health services are often out of reach.

Oyibo however,  emphasizes that economic dependence is a significant barrier to healthcare, and that the Foundation’s empowerment programmes aim to address this issue.

“Arieli Foundation tackles a major barrier to healthcare, which is economic dependence. Many women in crisis are unable to seek medical care or escape abusive situations due to financial limitations. Arieli’s empowerment programs are designed to change that.

“Economic empowerment is healthcare empowerment. When women have financial independence, they gain control over their choices, their health, and their future,” said Oyibo.

She further noted that through training in digital skills, entrepreneurship, and modern trades, the Foundation is equipping women with the tools to achieve sustainable livelihoods and long-term independence.
