Stakeholders across Africa’s media, housing, and construction sectors have hailed Housing TV Africa, the continent’s first dedicated housing television channel, now broadcasting on StarTimes channel 149 and soon to be on DStv in March 2025.

The channel, an award-winning television station, has been lauded for its innovative approach and timely contribution to the nation’s housing discourse.

During a recent event in Abuja, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa commended the ingenuity behind the channel’s creation, describing it as “unique and first of its kind.”

He praised Festus Adebayo, Founder/CEO of Housing TV Africa, for his long standing dedication to the housing and media industry and his unwavering advocacy for affordable housing.

“Your contribution to the industry is highly commendable and enviable,” Arc. Dangiwa stated.

“Your content is great. When I heard about your television station, I knew it was the right thing to do. I have also been monitoring your programmmes, ‘Housing Development’ on AIT, for many years, as well as the Africa International Housing Show (AIHS), which consistently brings together leading stakeholders.

“This television station carries the same unique and informative spirit. Keep up the good work!”

Hakeem Ogunniran, Founder/CEO of Eximia Realty  a prominent real estate investor and business mogul, echoed these sentiments, calling the channel “a step in the right direction.”

He highlighted the uniqueness of Housing TV Africa’s content, amassed over 25 years, and its relevance to Nigeria’s current needs.

“At this point in time, Nigeria needs more creative media content to showcase what we are doing in the housing industry. I am very happy this is happening in my lifetime. You are changing the game in the media and housing industry,” Hakeem Ogunniran declared.

He urged the public and stakeholders across all sectors to support Festus Adebayo and his innovative team, particularly as the nation benefits from an “excellent minister of housing who believes in innovative teams.”

Ogunniran emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to transform the housing sector.

Housing TV Africa, now accessible on StarTimes channel 149, offers a diverse range of engaging content centered on housing, social issues, and lifestyle.

The channel’s expansion to Dstv and GoTV soon will further broaden its reach, bringing crucial housing information and discussions to a wider audience.

The award-winning station is poised to become a vital platform for promoting sustainable housing solutions and fostering informed dialogue within the industry.
