Aviara Federal Union executives, were on Saturday, returned unopposed by the general assembly of the Aviara Clan union to pilot its affairs for the next three years.

The decision was reached by the entire Aviara Clan assembly during its Annual General Conference at Otor-Aviara Modern Town Hall held on December 21, 2024.

One of the highlights of the meeting was to elect a new executive at the expiration of a tenure of three years led by Dr. Efe Charles  Arugba. Upon this, the outgoing-President-General, Dr. Charles Efe Arugba, dissolved the executive to create room for the election of a new executive.

When a motion for nomination was raised, Mr .Emmanuel Ikpa(Chairman Sapele-Aviara Community) highlighted the numerous achievements of the out-going executive led by Dr.Efe Charles Arugba, in the area of peace, accountability and cordial working relationship with all the clan leadership,and as such moved a Vote of Confidence on the executive and was supported by Mrs Ajiri Erijo Chairlady  Otor-Aviara  and Cmrd Victor Itakwele(Youth President Aviara). 

In the absence of a counter motion, the house unanimously adopted the motion and returned the entire executive UNOPPOSED. 

The new executives returned unopposed are: Charles Arugba – President-General; Igodi Vincent (Ist Vice) ; Mike Ekpoh (2nd vice); Pius Egedovo (Secretary General) ; Orara Randy (Asst Secretary) ; Sir. Collins Enigheno (Treasurer); Ofremu Oghale (PRO); Pius Evro (Assistant PRO); Egboro ThankGod (Financial Secretary); Uzih Ben (Spokesman); Mike Erigi (Social/Organising Secretary); Israel Umuerri (Legal Officer/Adviser) and Gideon Isara (Auditor).

In his acceptance speech on behalf of the newly re-elected executive, the President General, Dr. Arugba, thanked the clan for the confidence reposed in him and his executive, and assured them of undiluted commitments  to move the clan to greater heights.

He  prayed to God to give him the strength and wisdom to pilot the affairs  of the Clan, adding that though it comes with enormous responsibilities, he and his executive do their best.

He also assured and  promised to consolidate further on the prevailing peace and unity in Aviara Clan and beyond but not without the cooperation of all. 

The PG pleaded with all to give him the same unfettered cooperation he enjoyed during his first term that made them succeed. 

In the same vein, the youth body speaking through its secretary, Comrade Victor Eniyabor, thanked the clan for its understanding for returning the Charles Arugba led-executive for another of three years, which he believed would take Aviara Clan to the next level.
