The Friends of Seyi Tinubu (FOST) group, has commended President Bola Tinubu for unveiling a groundbreaking and transformative 2025 budget, which it said, stood as a testament to his unwavering commitment to addressing the pressing needs of Nigerians.

A statement issued by FOST President, Adejorin Tai Manuel and made available to Vanguard, said the historic budget is not just a financial document; it is a strategic blueprint aimed at fostering sustainable development and ushering in a new era of prosperity that our nation has long aspired to achieve.

The statement added that at the heart of the budget is an unprecedented allocation of N3.5 trillion to education, marking the largest investment in this sector in Nigeria’s history.

It further said this monumental commitment underscored the President’s deep understanding of the aspirations of the Nigerian people and the critical role that education plays in national development.

“By prioritising education, the budget aims to establish a foundation for affordable, accessible, and high-quality learning at all levels. This investment will empower millions of students, equipping them with the skills necessary for the workforce and driving innovation that can propel our nation forward.”

“The focus on education is not merely about funding; it encompasses a vision for reforming the education system to ensure that it meets the needs of a modern economy. This includes improving teacher training, updating curricula, and enhancing educational infrastructure to create an environment conducive to learning.”

“Equally noteworthy are the significant allocations dedicated to defense and security, totaling ₦4.51 trillion. This reflects a strong commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of Nigerians, particularly in light of the security challenges facing the nation.”

“By investing in defense, the government aims to bolster the capabilities of our armed forces and law enforcement agencies, ensuring that they are equipped to effectively combat threats and maintain peace and stability across the country.”

“Infrastructure is another critical area of focus, with N4.06 trillion earmarked for development. This investment is essential for improving transportation networks, energy supply, and public services, which are vital for fostering economic growth and enhancing the quality of life for all Nigerians.”

“By prioritising infrastructure, the government aims to create a more connected and efficient economy, which will facilitate trade, attract investment, and create jobs.”

“In addition to education and security, the budget allocates N2.48 trillion to healthcare, emphasising the importance of a robust healthcare system.”

“This funding will support the construction and renovation of healthcare facilities, the procurement of essential medical supplies, and the training of healthcare professionals.”

“By enhancing healthcare services, the government aims to ensure that all Nigerians have access to quality medical care, which is crucial for improving public health outcomes and overall well-being,” the statement said.

In light of these ambitious allocations, FOST urged all relevant ministries, agencies, and stakeholders to maximise the effective and judicious use of these resources.

“It is imperative that funds are channeled efficiently to deliver the impactful changes that Nigerians desperately need.”

“The success of the 2025 budget hinges on transparency, accountability, and a commitment to achieving results that resonate with the aspirations of the populace.”

“As we reflect on this transformative budget, FOST recognizes it as a unique opportunity to rebuild trust in government. By delivering tangible improvements in education, healthcare, security, and infrastructure, the administration can demonstrate its dedication to the welfare of the Nigerian people.”

“As steadfast partners in nation-building, FOST reaffirms our unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision of a brighter, more inclusive Nigeria.”

“We believe that with collective effort and commitment, this innovative budget can serve as a powerful vehicle for hope, progress, and the realization of our shared dreams for the nation,” the group stated.
