All is set for the highly anticipated Skyewise Advancement Foundation seminar aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs and business startups. The event, scheduled for 9 a.m. on November 30, 2024, will take place at the Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.
Dr. Elvis Abuyere, the President of the foundation, briefed newsmen on the event, emphasizing that the seminar is a key initiative of his four-year-old foundation, which has been working tirelessly to support and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit in young Nigerians.
“The theme for this year’s seminar is ‘Cultivating Young People for Tomorrow’s Economy. Our mission is to give young Nigerians a sense of belonging and encourage them to embrace entrepreneurship. We want them to move away from the dependence on white-collar jobs and instead tap into their potential as business leaders,” Abuyere said.

The event, titled “Meet the CEOs 4.0,” will provide a platform for young entrepreneurs to learn directly from a distinguished group of successful CEOs and business leaders. Dr. Abuyere highlighted that the seminar’s goal is to equip young people with the skills, insights, and mindset needed to thrive in business.
“Our belief is simple: if you can succeed in business in Nigeria, you can succeed anywhere in the world. The government must create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, but the future of Nigeria lies in the hands of young entrepreneurs who believe in themselves,” he said.
Dr. Abuyere also stressed the importance of entrepreneurship in shaping the future of Africa, noting that countries like China have seen tremendous growth due to the entrepreneurial spirit of their youth. “The wealth of a nation is not determined by the money circulating, but by the production and innovation of its people. We want young Nigerians to contribute to their country’s economy, just as young people in China are building their nation.”
The keynote speaker for the event is Dr. Cosmas Maduka, a well-respected figure in the business world, whose wealth of experience is expected to inspire and motivate attendees.
Abuyere also emphasized that the seminar will be completely free, as part of the Skyewise Foundation’s corporate social responsibility. “We believe in giving knowledge to society, and we want to ensure that young people have the resources they need to succeed. Our target audience is young Nigerians, but the event is open to people of all ages,” he added.
The foundation’s commitment to addressing the challenges facing young Nigerians was echoed by Ifeoma Akpotue, the Corporate Services Manager of Skyewise Group, and Oluwole Senkoya, a trustee of the Skyewise Foundation.
“An idle mind is the devil’s workshop. We believe that if young Nigerians have a sense of direction, they won’t turn to crime. Youth are the future of Nigeria, and this seminar is one way we are helping them chart a positive course,” he said.
The Skyewise Foundation’s “Meet the CEOs 4.0” seminar promises to be a landmark event in the pursuit of economic empowerment for Nigeria’s youth.
