JOOPSA has trained over 15,000 civil, public since inception – DG

BENIN CITY – THE Director General, of the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy (JOOPSA) Ms Precious Ajoonu has said that the academy has trained over 15,000 civil and public servants in Nigeria since its inception in 2022.

According to her training is the academy’s core mission which would empower public and civil servants with critical skills for present-day governance and challenges.

Ajoonu stated this during JOOPSA’s Open House event where she said the driving force was the aim of Mr Godwin Obaseki administration to foster professionalism and excellence in public service.

The academy also gave awards to deserving staff, partners and others including Adeyinka Adedipe of the Punch Newspaper.

According to her. “Our vision is to cultivate a public service that is responsive, efficient, and accountable. We believe in the potential of every civil and public servant, to lead with integrity and competence, and we are here to nurture that potential. The academy has trained over 15,000 civil and public servants in Edo State and across Nigeria. “

JOOPSA was established to see to the training and retraining of civil and public servants in Edo State and beyond and boasts of modern classrooms equipped with smart technology, resource-rich library dedicated to policy and governance studies, and a state-of-the-art Government Innovation lab where trainees could learn how to use computers and others.
