“We’ve all been craving a burst of color and positivity,” says Bright, whose part-time move to Lagos has significantly influenced his design aesthetic. “Fashion is a powerful tool for self-expression, and I believe that vibrant colors can truly uplift the spirit.”

Color, as Bright acknowledges, is a complex element in fashion. It’s a language that speaks volumes, evoking emotions and memories. “A color can be interpreted differently by different people,” he explains. “That’s why it’s both a science and an art. It’s about understanding the psychology of color and using it to create a desired impact.”

Bright’s 2021 collection is a masterclass in color theory. It’s a harmonious blend of red, white, navy, turquoise, blue, black, and peach, each shade carefully chosen to evoke a specific mood or emotion. The collection features five standout pieces that embody Bright’s design philosophy.

The centerpiece of the collection is a two-piece lace and silk ensemble, featuring a bishop collar shirt and sleeves. Delicately handcrafted, the design is a celebration of femininity. “I wanted to create something that made women feel confident and beautiful,” says Bright. “The combination of lace and silk, coupled with the intricate details, exudes luxury and elegance.”

For a more relaxed yet stylish look, Bright offers a straight, long-sleeved shirt paired with loose-fit palazzo pants. The signature roll-top adds a touch of sophistication to this comfortable ensemble. “Palazzo pants are a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down,” says Bright. “They’re comfortable, flattering, and effortlessly chic.”

Another highlight of the collection is the cold-shoulder top paired with palazzo pants. This design strikes a perfect balance between modesty and allure. “The cold-shoulder trend is all about embracing femininity while maintaining a sense of mystery,” explains Bright. “It’s a modern and stylish choice.”

Bright’s collaboration with fashion label Orire on a print peach double-breasted blouse and bootcut pants showcases his ability to adapt to market trends while maintaining his signature style. This piece, along with other designs featuring palazzo pants and unique fabric combinations, demonstrates Bright’s commitment to creating versatile and stylish clothing for the modern woman.
