Sokoto Ulamas has organized a special prayers as part of activities lineup for the anniversary of Governor Aliyu’s one year in Office .

The Ulamas that cut across religious groups were drawn from all the 23 local government areas of the state icluding his critics Sheikh Abubakar Jibrin.

The nine frontline Ulamas selected to offer 2 minutes special prayer each prayed for the continue success of the Governor, the APC lrader Sen Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and the state and the nation to overcome current security Challenges.

The prayer thus reads
Bismillahi- rahmani- arrahim!
Rabbi a’inni wa-la tu’in ‘alayya, wa-nsurni wa-la tansur ‘alayya, wa-mkur-li wa-la tamkur alayya, wa-hdini wa-yassir-il-huda ilayya, wa-nsurni ‘ala man bagha ‘alayya.

“O God, aid Governor and do not aid anyone against him, O God grant him victory and do not grant victory to anyone over him, protect him wherever he is and do not plan against him, guide him and facilitate guidance for him, grant him victory over those who transgress against him, O God give us peace in our land in our state and our country , help us to overome the current security challenges Amin, Ya hayyu ya Qayyum.

In speech shortly after the prayer, the Governor thanked the Ulamas for their prayers , saying that it was the prayers that made his administration to succeed and achieved meaningful development in the past one year.

He said ” my administration will continue to have a listening ears to receive constructive criticisms with a view to make corrections where necessary” I will continue to seek for guidance and advices from my father and mentor senator Magatakarda Wamakko other leaders of our great party and well meaning individuals and groups in the state.

“Sokoto is our state and we have no other like it, as such we most jointly put hands together to make it great, Our human capital will be develop to be productive and self reliant through empowerment and other social interventions”.he added .

” I will do everythingl possible to ensure that Sokito state stands tall in the scheme of things, where lt will compete favourably with other states of the federation , says the Governor
