Dolphins Football Club of Port Harcourt new signing and former Kwara United midfielder, Isiaka Olawale has revealed why he could  not joined the Port Harcourt side two seasons ago when the club was seriously in need of him.

Inside Out Premier league gathered from Spokesman of the club, China Acheru that  the club has been on Olawale’s trail for two seasons, but they could not get  him to agree on a deal, owing to some unresolved issues.

Acheru said both teams have agreed on the deal after their league game in Ilorin last Saturday and  discussions have opened between officials of both sides as Olawale because his family wanted to stay close home.

“I am very excited joining Dolphins knowing that they have been chasing me for about two  years now,”Olawale said, adding that, “family pressure kept me away from joining Dolphin two seasons ago because  when I was at Lobi Stars my family wanted me to return and stay closer home .

I  had to stay home  and I played for  Kwara United. But, after serving the club very well, I thought  it was time to move on, that was why I decided to seal a deal with Dolphins. I hope to give my best to the club and also help them achieve their target for the season.” he added.

Head coach of Ocean Boys Football Club of Brass, Samuel Unuanel  has urged his lads to do more for themselves and the team as the challenge hots up in the Nigerian Premier League.

Unuanel, who expressed satisfaction over his team’s  1-1 draw against last season’s runners up, Sunshine Stars of Akure last  Sunday at the Dipo Dina International Stadium Ijebu-Ode told Inside Out Premier League that he is pleased with the current form of his players.

“Honestly, I’m satisfied with the performances of my players so far. These are young players brought from the Nationwide League and they are doing marvellously well and adhering to instructions. I believe that if they  continue like this in subsequent games, they will definitely go far.

With two points from two away games, they are really showing the stuff they are made of.  I want to urged them to improve on their performance,” he said.

de Kruif tasks wards on team-spirit

Heartland Technical Adviser Lodewijk de Kruif believes that the club would achieve its goal of finishing the season on high if his players would perfect team-spirit after they defeated Bukola Babes 2-1 last Sunday at home in Owerri,

Kruif, who led the Owerri side to win the 2011 Federation’s Cup, told Inside Out Premier League that he hopes to make them receptive to his instructions.

“For now, I think we have a lot of quality in the team. We are more of a complete team now as compared to last season, but we have to improve in our approach especially in front of goal. The only thing they need to do is to understand themselves better,” he said.

Continuing he said, “If we continue like this, it will  definitely bring us good results that will help us  achieve our targets of defending the FA Cup, getting to the top of the Premier League and as well win the CAF Confederation Cup.”
