The Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, Worldwide, has hailed the role of the former speaker of its 5th Mobile Parliament, Bob Collins Igetei in ensuring a successful and united transition of power to the 9th National Executive Council, NEC, of the council, in the face of uncertainty.

According to IYC in a statement by the national spokesman for the group, Amb. Binebai Princewill, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Igetei, described him as a bridge builder within the IYC who has worked tirelessly to foster unity and harmony among diverse interests, bridging divides and forging consensus for the greater good of the Ijaw people.

Princewill said: “In the annals of the Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, there emerges a towering figure whose steadfastness and unwavering commitment to the cause of the Ijaw nation have served as a beacon of hope and stability. RT Hon Bob Collins Igetei, the Speaker of the 5th Mobile Parliament of IYC embodies the essence of leadership in turbulent times.

“Throughout his tenure, RT Hon Bob Collins Igetei has epitomized honesty and integrity in his actions and decisions. His reputation as a man of impeccable character has earned him the trust and respect of his peers and colleagues alike.
