Vows to Flush Out Bandits, Kidnappers

The 6 Brigade Nigerian Army in Jalingo, Taraba state capital, has promised residents of the state adequate security amidst the security challenges of banditry and kidnappings in some parts of the state.

It also said its personnel are battle-ready to flush out the bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal elements disturbing the peace of communities.

The Brigade Commander of the 6 Battalion of the Nigeria Army, Maj. Gen. Frank Etim, spoke Thursday at the 2023 West African Social Activities, WASA, in Jalingo. 

He commended the locals for providing information on the movements of bandits and criminals.

He further expressed gratitude to the state government for its support to ensure security threats are nipped in the bud.

Maj. Gen. Etim further urged officers of the Brigade to never get weary and charged them to discharge their responsibilities as required.

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, who was represented by his deputy, Aminu Alkali, commended the Nigeria Army for their support to ensure the state remains a safe haven. 

He assured continued cooperation between the government and security agencies and outlined measures the government would deploy to bolster security and safeguard the well-being of its citizens.
