Universal Promotional Wrestling Federation’s (UPWF) World Heavyweight Champion, Osita Offor, better known as the De Ultimate Commander, and Super Eagles stars, Osaze Odemwingie and Taye Taiwo, are among the nominees for the 2011 Modemen magazine Men of the Year Awards.

The UPWF World Heavyweight Champion, who is scheduled to defend his title in Nigeria this month in a championship that would also involve American wrestling legends including Hulk Hogan, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin among others, and the Super Eagles stars are the nominees in the Sports Personality of the Year category.

The winner of the awards would be revealed on December 10 in an elaborate ceremony that would be witnessed by the who’s who in all facets of the Nigerian society at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
