ABUJA- NIGERIA Governors’ Forum, NGF, Tuesday, launched its website, Content Management System, CMS, as part of moves to carry out a holistic and effective peer review among the states.

Speaking at the official handing over of the website, Mr. Asishana Okauru, NGF Director- General, described the website as a digital hub for all activities of the 36 state governors.

He explained that it would be the intranet of the forum and depository of all information and knowledge resources generated by NGF. According to him, the site will also serve as a research tool for states, researchers, students, among others.

The website, www.ngf.ng, was designed in collaboration with State Partnership for Accountability, Responsiveness and Capability, SPARC, and funded by the Department for International Development, DFID.

Okauru, who noted that the website would help drive the development plan of the secretariat, said: “’This will serve as a digital information hub for all the policies and programmes of the 36 state governors.

“It will be strategic to the peer review mechanism as it will help learning by way of best practises. Everything generated and reports in various states will be uploaded at the right time.”

He, however, said that not everyone will have full access to the site as some areas will be exclusive to the governors alone, adding,’’the information accessible to the governors will not be open to other members.’’

He said on expiration of each governor’s term in office, the exclusivity the governor enjoyed to the site will be terminated via a change of pass word which will be given to the new governor.

Earlier, the Deputy National Programme Manager of SPARC, Mr. Joe Abah, who noted that DFID has been in partnership with NGF, said the secretariat has become a hub of information in all the states hence the support.
