ADO-EKITI- As the state government last week named one Prince Adebanji Alabi as the new monarch of Ilawe Ekiti, some of the aggrieved members of the ruling house in the community, have dragged the state government to court for alleged contempt of the court.

Joined in the suit included the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice , the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftainship Affairs, Chief Dayo Fadipe and the Head of Ademileka/Afunbiokin lineage of the Ruling House, Mr. Michael Ejide Akinola.

The Akubieleyo lineage and the Adesubulu lineage of the Oniwe Ruling House in Ilawe-Ekiti respectively filed a contempt of court against the government and the Head of the Ademileka/Afunbiokin lineage of the same Ruling House, Mr. Michael Ejide Akinola.

The court had on October 6 granted an injunction asking all the parties in the matter to maintain status quo pending the final determination of the suit filed before it on September 23 this year by the claimants

The claimants, Pastor Anthony Esan and Prince Peter Jegede who represent Akubieleyo and Adesubulu had on Friday filed a lineages respectively had on Friday filed a notice of consequences of disobedience of order before Justice M.A Agbelusi of Ikere High court against the state government
