Cosmos Ndukwe Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) poised to raise the living standards of indigent widows and young adults, has built and furnished two more houses for widows in Abia State.
Founder/President of the Foundation, Dr. Cosmos Ndukwe, disclosed that the two houses were part of the five the Foundation promised to deliver to indigent widows at Umunneochi, Bende, Arochukwu, Ohafia and Isuikwuato Local Government Areas of Abia State.
According to him, the first was completed and delivered to Mrs Chisia Ujunwa of Umunneochi recently.
The new beneficiaries, Mrs Oduoba Ogbonnaya of Amankwor Uzuakoli and Mrs Nwanyi Eke of Amaekpu Ohafia, were selected based on the state of their former abodes which, in the words of Dr. Ndukwe, were anything but habitable.
Cosmos Ndukwe Foundation only recently paid school certificate fees for 200 indigent students across various public secondary schools in Abia State.
This gesture, the Foundation explained, was aimed at encouraging young adults in rural public schools to go beyond the school certificate mark.
