LAGOS— Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Kayode Opeifa and Dean, School of Transportation, Lagos State University, Dr. Tajudeen Bawa-Allah have stressed the need to involve more experts in the transport industry saying, “this is when we can begin to solve the problem of transportation in the country”.

The state government has however, approved the sum of N300 million for the construction of complex for the school of Transport, Lagos State University, LASU.  The duo spoke at an interactive session between transport experts and students of the School of Transportation, Lagos State University, at the end of an excursion to transport agencies in the state.

They said that problem of transportation in the country was mainly due to the lack of transport experts in Nigeria that could proffer solutions to the teething traffic chaos.

The experts posited that until the state begins to produce graduates who understand the ethics of transport, “we will be difficult to solve the problem of transportation in Nigeria.”
