ONITSHA—The police in Nnobi have recovered a lorry load of goods worth about N2 million from four suspected armed robbers along Onitsha/ Owerri express way.

The lorry, according to police source, was carrying assorted goods comprising small bags of flour, cartons and cans of fruit juice from Iddo park, Lagos to Aba.

But on reaching Sir Emeka Offor road junction, on Onitsha/ Owerri express road, the suspects, who were all armed, stopped the lorry and diverted it to a residential premises at Awka Etiti.

Investigation by Vanguard showed that the lorry load of goods was recovered during a joint operation by the police and Awka Etiti Vigilance group, headed by Mr Basil Emejuru.
