Ogun partners Longman over instruction materials

BY CHIOMA OBINNA

ABEOKUTA-Education in Ogun State is to receive a major boost as the government partners Longman Nigeria Plc, now Learn Africa Plc, in the provision of instructional materials to public schools.

This came on the heels of a recent contract awarded to the company by the State Ministry of Education to supply various books to public primary, junior secondary and senior secondary schools in the State.

The partnership is part of the strategic initiatives to realise Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s vision of providing free and qualitative education to the youths of the state.

A statement by Longman’s Spokesperson, Mr. Allwell Nwankwo said the company welcomed the partnership with the State Government, especially at a time the education sector was in dire need of massive investments to restore it to its pre-eminent position and shore up the quality of education students receive.
