Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta South Senatorial District has described recent media reports credited to Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, accusing Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of corruption as misleading and untrue.

PDP youth leader in the district, Mr. Andrew Igban, in a statement, said the report was meant to paint a bad picture of governance in the state.

He said: “DPP is misinforming the public on reality on ground in the state. The PDP government in Delta State, led by Uduaghan, has made remarkable progress in meeting the yearnings of Deltans.”

Wondering whose interest DPP represented in the said report, Igban said: “The motion that was adopted by Delta State House of Assembly is to further mount pres-sure on contractors han-dling government pro-jects to meet up with the deadline of completing the works as earlier directed by the governor.”

Insisting that constructive criticism strengthens governance, Igban said: “Nobody or group should misinform the public on happenings in the state and I urge Deltans to continue in their support for the governor in his development strides in the state.”
