Sylva presents job creation, fiscal expansion budget

Governor Timipre Sylva weekend presented N228bn as Bayelsa State 2012 appropriation bill to the House of Assembly for approval.

Sylva said  at the presentation that the budget is aimed at job creation and fiscal expansion to ensure sustainable development in the state economic sector.

The budget, he said, was based on 75 dollars benchmark for crude oil.

The budget expenditure estimate shows that N98 billion was earmarked for recurrent expenditure, while N36 billion is for consolidated revenue fund charges and capital expenditure at N130 billion.

A break down of the budget shows works and transport  are allocated N43billion while N12bn goes to education.
