ILORIN – The Kwara State House of Assembly, yesterday, confirmed three former members of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN, as commissioners, in a bid to integrate the party into PDP government as earlier directed by Dr Abubakar Olusola Saraki.
Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulrazaq Atunwa, said their screening and confirmation was in compliance with the provision Section 14 (4) of the 1999 Constitution.
Vanguard checks revealded that the ruling party was also working out appointments for members of All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, who joined the party, weekend, in its bid to mop up opposition in the state .
Those who appeared for the screening were Anthony Towoju, former legal adviser of ACPN and Alhaji Aliyu Mohammed from Patigi Local Government, while Alhaji Saka Onimago former SSG in the administration of Dr Bukola Saraki who did not appear and was repotedly said to have travelled overseas was said to have sent message that he will appear before the House when he returns.
The duo while responding to some of the questions put to them assured that they would try their best to develop the state in whatever capacity they found themselves.
