Enugu—The People for Democratic Change, PDC, in Enugu State is yet to decide on whether or not to participate in the forthcoming local government election in the state.
Mr Sunday Ani, Chairman of the party, said, Tuesday, in Enugu that the party had not concluded arrangements on the election.
He said the party would let the public know as soon as it was ready for the election.
He said: “We are still planning whether we are participating or not. We are still on the drawing board and when we are through, I will let the people know.”
PDC was formed by Dr Chimaroke Nnamani, the former governor of Enugu State, who also represented Enugu East in the last Senate.
Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission had recently called on all the political parties to field credible candidates for the December 10 election.“to effectively challenge” the ruling PDP.
The PDP is the only party so far that had conducted its chairmanship and councillorship primaries for the election.
