Speaking at a one day training and workshop for some of its Nigerian marketers at the Radisson Blu hotels and resorts, Victoria Island, Lagos, Mr. Rodrigo Panhoni, Managing Director of Systemic Commercial Vehicles disclosed that they were taking advantage of Brazil as one of the biggest producers of commercial vehicles to bring world class products to Nigeria.
He explained that systemic is a Brazilian company committed to doing mutually beneficial business with customers in Africa, adding that the company is presently doing business in Nigeria, Angola, Ghana, and South Africa.
“The main products are in the commercial vehicle sector. We bring customers and manufacturers together by offering them excellent and quality service,” he said, adding that the company’s goals is to find the right products to meet the needs of the customers and ensuring good business to all involved in the process from sales and after-sales.”
The Brazilian company which partners notable company like Mercedes-Benz, Scania, Volkswagen, IVECO, Volvo, Irizar, Caio and Stemac generators explained that Systemic combines intimate knowledge of African markets in order to provide premium customised products and services delivered at competitive prices.
The Managing Director further noted that the company has been able to provide customers and partners different solutions and services according to demand in areas such as distribution of premium commercial vehicles, equipment and spare parts, maintenance equipment and power generators.
In addition to this, it offers analysis of most suitable products for each market segment, assistance to finance options, handling of complete export process, brand management of partners in the market and after-sales support to customers, including service, training, warranty and availability of spare parts.
On why the Brazilian products are most ideal for the African market, the systemic boss said that the Brazilian partners and some international manufacturers based in Brazil are prepared to produce products for most severe applications more similar to African conditions than in any country in Europe and United State.
Apart from this, he observed that Africa has a lot of potentials. He predicted that Africa will grow economically a few years to come. “When I visited Nigeria ten years ago, I did not see the level of development I am seeing today. Nigeria will be big economic centre in future,” he stated.
Brazil is a country where infrastructure (road and energy) are still under developed. This means that Brazilian products are strong enough to be customised to African situation and condition according to each customer’s request by systemic and partners.
The products can be tropicalised for the African environment as the trucks and buses are built to withstand bad road conditions as 85 per cent of Brazilian roads are similiar to African roads.
Systemic products lines in the commercial vehicle segment luxury buses, city buses, truck and equipment, fire-fighting vehicles, armoured vehicles, maintenance equipment, spare parts and power generators.
