Amoda heads Eko PHCN

Federal Government has appointed Oladele Amoda, an engineer, as the new Chief Executive Officer, CEO, for Eko Electricity Distribution Company of Power Holding Company of Nigerian, PHCN.

A statement by the company’s Principal Manager Public Affairs, Mr. Godwin Idemudia, said new CEO until his appointment, was an Assistant General Manager in charge of Technical Services.

Born on October 12, 1956,  Amoda graduated in 1982 from Memphis State University, Tennessee, in the United States of America, USA, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

He also, in 1996 obtained a Masters in Business Administration, MBA, from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology.

In 1983, he joined National Electric Power Authority, NEPA, now PHCN as a Pupil Engineer, after his national youth service.

Amoda had various times obtained several degrees including the Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Masters of Science (Msc) degree in organizational Leadership from the Regis University, Colorado, USA among others.

He held positions within PHCN including being a Planning Engineer at the Akure District – 1986 -1987.

Between 1987 and 1988 he was the undertaking manager, Owo undertaking; from where he was posted to Ado-Ekiti as its undertaking manager.

Amoda was one time an undertaking manager in Ikoyi, Lagos Islands District.

And between 1995 and 1999 he was the Senior Manager (D&M) in charge of Lagos Islands, Ikoyi and Victoria Island Offices of the power company respectively.

In the year 2000, he was elevated to a Principal Manager status and posted to Ikeja Zonal Office.
