The Forum of President General of Urhobo Kingdoms today has describe the Delta Central Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Okakuro Ede as one who is eminent qualified to represent the Urhobo nation at the Senate.
The forum also urge all President Generals to stand firm ahead of next year’s election, adding that Urhobo must field it’s best hands.
Chief Godwin Natoma, the chairman of Udu Community who also double as the chairman of Urhobo Kingdom President Generals while speaking said “You are eminently qualified, it shall be well with you what you find you shall get, though campaign has not started, I hereby urge all President Generals to stand firm ahead of the election because Urhobo will present he who the cap fits”
Earlier, Chief Dafinone who had gone to consult and seek prayers from the body said he was in a better position to represent the district in the Senate, saying that his vision for the Urhobo nation was broad encompasing peace, prosperity and economic opportunities.
He reiterated his mission at the Senate to identify and unified common strategic goals so as to attract local and foreign investors with a promise to encourage siting of government institutions and large-scale businesses.
He also promise support for a new commission located in Delta Central to collaborate in the harvesting of natural gas.
Kingdom President Generals present at the Uvwie hall meeting in Effurun today include, Rev Canon David Otoma Vice Chairman, Bright Adgogbe, Secretary, Chief Julius Akpodiete Financial Secretary, and Chief Daniel Ojo Treasurer.
Others are Chief Abovi H Erute, Spokesman, Prof Author Ekpekpo, Member, Chief Benson O Nadakara, Chief Patrick Esiri, Chief Monday Arawore, Chief Wilson Umukoro, and others.
While those who accompanied Chief Ede Dafinone on the consultation visit include Chief Godwin Ogbetu, Amb. Frank Efeduma, Dr Mrs Veronica Ogbuagu, former Commissioner of Education, Chief Cosmos Ighoraye aka baba Dede, Chief Adelabu Bojor, Chief Thursday Onoge, Chief Francis Atanomeyovwin, Mrs Iriri, Chief Moses Ayeni, and Hon Barr Joseph Oshevire,
