Jossy Lad cries over incessant league halt

By Ime Bassey
Former coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Joseph Ladipo, has disclosed that the incessant halt of the remaining four matches in the Nigerian Premier League will affect the performance of the players when proceedings resume.

Jossy Lad, as he is fondly called by his fans, made this known to Inside Out Premier League in a telephone chat, stressing that teams in the continent and the Federation Cup will have undue advantage over those that have been dormant since the halt.

“Definitely, it will affect those that have not been playing active football since the games were last played. Most of these clubs have sent their players on break because they do not know when the remaining games will be played.

“But for those who are in the continent and Federation Cup, they will not feel it, being that they are involved in games. Generally speaking, it is not good for our football.

I think they have good reasons for the postponement because the reasons are genuine. Nobody ever thought all these will happen,” Ladipo said.
