ABAKALIKI – National President, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Malam Muhammad Garba, yesterday, called on Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, to facilitate the supply of petroleum products to consumers, especially media outfits that run on diesel .

The NUJ President said this on a visit to Governor Martin Elechi at Government House, Abakaliki.
Garba, who regretted the under-funding of most media organisations in the country, stressed the need for the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas to give special consideration to media organisations during its allocation and distribution of petroleum products nationwide.

He said the gesture would not only guarantee  the effectiveness and reliability of the media at every stage of the nation’s democracy but also sustain the productive capacity of media practitioners in the country.
