Bendel Insurance owe Fuludu N4.6m

By Ime Bassey

Warri Wolves Football Director, Edema Fuludu has revealed that he is being owed N4.6m by the management of Bendel Insurance of Benin which he handled for a season.

In an interview with Saturday Vanguard Sports, the former Super Eagles player disclosed that the duty he was given to lift the club out of the dunghill was impaired by the shortsightedness of  indigenes on the club’s management board.

He lamented that since his departure from the club, efforts have not been made to pay him, stressing, “I was invited to coach Bendel Insurance for a season when Brown Ebewele was the commissioner of sports. I gave my all with seriousness and we were at the verge of qualifying from the Pro League to the Premier League before this internal sabotage occurred.

“They were saying that I am not from Edo State so I can’t bring the club back to the Premier League.

As I speak to you, the official car given to me then is still in my house and until they pay me, I will not release it,” Fuludu said.
