LAGOS-Promasidor Limited, makers of Cowbell Milk and other consumables, has shut down operations over dispute with workers. The workers, yesterday, protested the shut down of the company.

 Though the Lagos office of the Ministry of Labour and Productivity had invited the management and  workers through the state council of National Union of Food Beverages and Tobacco Employees, NUFBTE, for a meeting tomorrow, the management shut  the company on Sunday in what workers, alleged was to forestall any breakdown of law and order as well as to secure and protect lives. 

The management and the workers had been at loggerhead since 2009 over meal subsidy and annual increment, which the workers claimed the management had foot dragged.
