Nigerite remodels Unilag’s Architecture Studio

Messrs Nigerite Limited, a one one-stop building components solution provider has remodeled the Masters in Environmental Design, MED, Studio at the Department of Architecture, University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba. The project was executed at the cost of N35 million.

Managing Director of the company Mr. Jean-Luc Viatour who spoke at last week’s commissioning of the studio, explained that the remodeling involved using a range of the Nigerite’s innovative products which include Autoclave Sidings, PVC flooring and Acoustile ceiling tiles.

The company, according to him, had to embark on the project because the strength of an institution is not measured only by its physical structure, but more by the tenacity inculcated into the students to do the unimaginable.

The Nigerite boss stated that investment in the lives of the Nigerian youth is one of the ways of ensuring a better tomorrow for (them) youths.

Stating that an institution should be a laboratory for ideas, Viatour stated that in today’s world, the wealth of a nation is not measured strictly by its natural resources, but by the quality of its human capital and its ability to innovate and remain competitive.

“The Youth, Our Future initiative by Nigerite is designed to empower and equip the Nigerian youth through the provision of conducive learning environments that will engender creativity and innovativeness; a learning environment that will enable the youth to compete on the world stage,” he said.

Nigerite’s Director of Marketing, Arc. Toyin Gbede said the academic environment is a place where innovation should be celebrated.

“ In line with Nigerite’s hallmark for innovation, we have launched a dry building construction system called Building System Homes (BSH) which pays off on time management and budget”, commended Nigerite for the initiative, adding that as specifiers and users of Nigerite range of products, NIA has certified the company’s products for construction of buildings.
