The Agric Trade Group of Ibadan Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (member of the Nigerian Association of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture) will be organizing an AGRIC Summit, tagged : “Agricultural Financing : The Road Map” meant for peasant farmers and others stakeholders in the private and agric sector covering the whole states in the South – West of Nigeria, as a pioneer and partner in the – Agro-Allied business.

In a release issued by Chief Emmanuel Folorunso-Ogunnaike (MFR) Chairman, Agric Trade Group and Mr. Braimoh Waheed, Vice Chairman Agric Trade Group, further informed that all the South West Governors (Raji Fashola, Abiola Ajimobi, Ibikunle Amosun, Segun Mimiko, Rauf Aregbesola and Fayemi) will also grace the summit billed for Civil centre, Idi-Ape, Ibadan, Oyo state for August 17, 2011 by 10 a.m. … for the benefit of farmers in the South-West zone and for the sustenance of Agriculture to support the ailing economy of Nigeria in general.

The release added that the Summit hope to address the Agricultural Financial Challenges; To elucidate the farmers’ inaccessibility to Agricultural loans; To Facilitate beneficial information from the Government to the farmers; and finding a lasting solution to the bottlenecks to obtaining loans by farmers.

“Our facilitators for the summit were carefully selected from high profile organizations both in the financial institutions with Agric Desk, public and private sectors” the release said.
