Lagos — FOLLOWING the recent flooding in parts of Lagos State, members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, serving in Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state, have embarked on draining water at public schools in the council.

The corps members, led by their Corps Liaison Officer, Mr Stephen Bayo, visited Ajeromi Ifelodun Primary and Secondary Schools in Olodi Apapa in collaboration with management of the schools, where they drained flood water from classrooms, to allow students return to school.

Bayo reiterated the commitment of the corps members in the council to assist their immediate community and beyond especially in the area of community development services.

The leader of the Medical and Sanitation group, Ogbonna Chibuike, called on governments at all level to urgently address the problem of flood in the state.
