African Food Festival will be live in Accra, Ghana this year – Co-founder of African Food Network reveals

African cuisine has long been underrepresented on the global culinary scene. While some have dismissed African cuisine as “just another” cuisine, it is now being recognized for its variety in comparison to other meals.

Food, it appears, has a vital role in connecting humans to their heritage, and this is part of what distinguishes each continent.

Furthermore, international acceptance of cuisine aids in the promotion of a country’s culture, image, and national pride. Unfortunately, over 5,000 African cuisines have gone unnoticed and unappreciated, due to poor public relations and inadequate representation.

As a result, dozens of new platforms have sprung up, creating sensational content that is shattering traditional barriers. They’re not only pushing the African menu in new and uncomfortable directions, but they’re also demonstrating how it can provide the ultimate intimate experience. They’ve changed the way people think about African food around the world by introducing people to a variety of delicacies and recipes from all over the continent. This newfound love for African cuisine has been amplified by digital media, which is at the heart of a new revolution.

Kevin Eze, the CEO of the African Food Network, is clearly one of the few people who has taken it upon themselves to change the narrative. His goal is to build a global brand that primarily represents Africa to the world through its cuisine.

The African Food Network has been able to garner up to a million loyal and interested followers through the establishment of a very strong online presence on almost all social platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and even without the exclusion of an official website.

Mr. Kevin Eze, the Co-founder of African Food Network, reveals more about the African Food Festival. “African Food Festival was formed with the sole objective of celebrating African culture via food,” he explains. “It’s a periodic festival that will be held in different places around the world to promote and commemorate black culture with food and drinks from the vast continent of Africa.”  Food enthusiasts and food entrepreneurs will be able to sample the unique flavour of African cuisine and learn about its promotion at the African food festival.

He added that African Food Festival announces Accra, Ghana as next destination for their festival holding in April 2022. According to him, Ghana is going to be power packed with an array of top chefs, food vendors, brands, bloggers, and popular entertainment acts. “More information about the festival would be shared once they are ready but one thing, I am sure of is that we’re expecting the top food influencers, chefs, food bloggers to be there while getting entertained with some big-name musical & comedy acts” he elaborates.

The festival’s orientation is one of the things that makes African food unique, explains Kevin Eze, the convener for the festival.  He stresses the importance of transglobal cooperation to the worldwide success of African culinary culture. “The spotlight is on West Africa right now, which is a big chance for all of us,” Kevin says.

As it is known, African food varies from country to country on the continent. However, the flavour makes one know its origin. This festival will provide the opportunity for chefs to strut their kitchen skills.
