The member representing the Isoko North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Mr Jude Ogbimi has given out 180 bags of rice and N900,000 to 180 market women in the Local Government Area in the spirit of the yuletide season. 

Presenting the rice and cash to the beneficiaries, Ogbimi said the gesture was aimed at celebrating the season with his constituents.

Describing Isoko women as caring and supportive, he said he enjoyed their support and prayers during his election. 

Saying that the strength and power of women in politics could not be undermined, he said they contributed to his victory at the polls.

Ogbimi said: “I have come to tell them a big thank you in return. This empowerment is not going to stop here, it will continue until it gets to all the market women in Isoko North. 

“I want to use this medium to thank Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his  performance, especially in the area of infrastructure and human capital development.”
