Asaba— INSPECTION of ballot papers and other electoral materials used during the April 26, governorship election in Delta State by forensic experts, invited to carry out the exercise might be rounded off today.

Chief Public Affairs Officer of the election tribunal, Mr. Livy Unuibe, confirmed this to Vanguard, yesterday, saying that “they are expected to be rounding off tomorrow (today).”

The exercise started last week Wednesday at INEC headquarters, Asaba.

The inspection of the materials witnessed a lot of exchanges between the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP and Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, who originally requested for the inspection.

Tribunal chairman, Justice Abisoye Ayo, had on May 24, ordered joint inspection of materials by the petitioners and the defendants in the governorship legal tussle.

Chief Great Ogboru of DPP had sought to inspect the materials, but Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of PDP also sought to be part of the inspection, which the court granted.
