Elder statesmen and eminent clerics have appealed to Lagosians to support Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State in his strides to translate their dream for a better, secured tomorrow they will be proud of.

First Military Governor of Lagos State, Brig.-Gen. Mobolaji Johnson (rtd), Sir Charles Williams and the Archbishop of Lagos, Methodist Church of Nigeria, Rev. Joseph  Ajayi, who made the plea during the reception to mark the 65th anniversary birthday thanksgiving service of Rev.  Ajayi in Lagos, also charged the elite to proffer meaningful, and constructive solutions to assist Governr Fashola to achieve his goals.

While extolling the virtues of the celebrant, enjoined Nigerians, especially leaders in cassock, to at all times “strive positively to win souls for Christ, especially in their thought, words and deeds, as well as be the true vanguards against the societal ills.”
