Nigeria International striker, Michael Eneramo, who had a stunning debut for the Super Eagles against Ireland in an International friendly, says he is more committed to Nigeria securing the World Cup ticket billed for South Africa next year, than anything else.

The striker, who was last week made captain of Esperance of Tunisia, said his new position will in no way affect his commitment to see Nigeria play alongside other great footballing nations in South Africa when the World Cup kicks off next year. He expressed delight over his captainship of Esperance Sportive de Tunis. Eneramo, who is the first Nigerian  player to captain the Tunisian side,  said he feels honoured having been given such  position, adding that the position will enable him to perform beyond expectation  as he promised to lead the team to a greater height.

“I feel great being made the  captain of Esperance. No doubt it is a challenge on my own part. But  definitely I will make sure I do my best and lead the team to an expected end,” Eneramo told Brila FM sports.

However, his   position as captain Esperance of Tunisia has attracted  response from sports loving Nigerians, who believe, being captain will affect his commitment to the Super Eagles, as they struggle to pick the 2010 World Cup ticket in South Africa ahead of Tunisia.

Meanwhile, the former Lobi Star player remains  confident that Nigeria will  pick the 2010 World Cup ticket , maintaining that the team have capable players who can do the trick in the remaining matches. Stressing that the coach knows players who can fit into his match plan  for the crucial September 6 tie in Abuja.
