“Basically, our aim is to win the Under-20 World Cup. In 2009 we were so close to doing so in the Under 17 World Cup, but this time around we will try all our best to return with the trophy,” said the Obuh.
He expressed his delight at beating Cameroon in the final of the AYC.
“Cameroon were a tough opponent. On several occasions they have denied us at the youth and senior levels so beating them was an important win for us.”
He added that the team has been adequately prepared for the Colombia adventure.
“Last time, we had very little time and we managed to make a success out of it at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup. This time, the NFF gave us the best preparation possible, and we have won the African title. We have to do our best to deliver, for the country,”Obuh said.
Nigeria are the same alongside Croatia, Saudi Arabia and Guatemala.
