Following the activities of hoodlums operating on Ohoror/Bomadi Road, Delta State, which  had claimed several lives, a former militant group under the aegis of Egalesonoma, has constituted itself into  a vigilante group  to secure lives and property on the road.

According to the leader of the group ‘Gen.’ Action Ekereama, they were moved to offer themselves as vigilante, considering the  huge loss of lives to robbers, who attack the Ohoror and Bulu-Apelebiri section of the Bomadi Road,  which he said had remained unchecked.

They noted that they were constrained to carry out the assignment,  calling on the political leaders from the area to assist them to man the road, as they  could not do it without support from the leaders.

The former militants urged members  of the public not to be disturbed by their former status, as they are truly repentant and want  to serve  the public whole heartedly.

They called on the Delta State government and Bomadi  Local Government Area authorities  to provide them with vehicles and other materials to assist them in carrying out the task.
