OWERRI- An Owerri Federal High Court, presided over by Hon. Justice Folashade Olubanjo, has granted an ex-parte motion filed by Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, on behalf of Chief George Egu against the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, deputy governorship candidate, Mr. Jude Agbaso.
The motion is seeking a relief to publish in two national dailies the summon to answer a case of criminality against Jude Agbaso, committed in the city of New York, United States of America, USA.
Addressing newsmen after the court session, counsel to the plaintiff, Mike Ozekhome, SAN, said the matter was brought before the court as an originating summons, stating that Mr. Agbaso did commit some criminal offences while in the USA and jumped bail, which led a bench warrant to be issued for his arrest.
Mike Ozekhome said that by the development, Mr. Jude Agbaso, a running mate to Chief Rochas Okorocha, was not a fit and proper person to be a running mate to a governorship candidate, adding that the vice of criminality that stained Mr. Agbaso also stained Okorocha, who both have joint and inseparable ticket, saying one could not run without the other.
