The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Atahiru Jega has been commended for his unyielding commitment to the success of the April general elections in the country.

The Life Patron of Imo State Towns Development Association Lagos, Chief Augustine Anozie made the commendation while speaking with  newsmen in Lagos, Thursday.

He said that the transparent manner in which Professor Jega has conducted the affairs of INEC since he took over the mantle of leadership of the commission was worthy of commendation.

He enjoined Nigerians from all walks of life to join hands with him to ensure a hitch free election.

Chief Anozie, an advocate of Peace and harmonious co-existence urged political parties, their candidates and supporters  to distance themselves from any thing  that will disturb the peace of the nation during and after the polls.

Anozie who praised President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and the National Assembly for the support given to INEC, expressed the hope that Professor Jega will deliver given his pedigree.
