Over one million people benefitted from Lagos free medical mission – Gov Fashola

More than one million people have so far benefitted from the free medical health mission of the Lagos State Government in the last five years, according to Governor Babatunde Fashola.

The Governor, at the ongoing free Medical Health Mission in Shomolu said that in 2006, 75,962 people benefitted from the exercise while in 2007, 92, 326 people were offered free health services during the medical mission.

A total of 208,681 residents of the State were provided with free healthcare at the medical missions in the year 2008, 357,610 benefitted in 2009 while 195, 420 people of diverse backgrounds were treated free in 2010.

The Lagos State Governor said so far in the year 2011, a total of 107,480 have benefitted with 26,351 people from the 18th medical mission in Shomolu where the exercise is currently going on also among those who have enjoyed the service.
