PDP leaders want Edo murder probed

BENIN CITY  – THE leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo state, yesterday, paid a condolence visit to the families of those who were killed by thugs along Lagos Street Tuesday and warned that this was another “murder that must not be swept under the carpet”.

The state chairman of the PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, who led the team to the residence of Chief Arala Osula, where the mayhem was perpetrated, lamented that “this loss is not just for the family but for the people of Edo state because we are all pained with the incident.

I wan to say that we are all praying for you in this moment of grief. I want to assure you that we will ensure that security operatives will do their jobs and nothing will be swept under the carpet”.

Elder brother of one of the deceased, Mr Tony Obazee, expressed the frustration of the family, saying that “ the only thing we want to beg government and every body is for them to help us find out why Osakpanwa should come here and kill my brother.

We don’t want this matter to be swept under the carpet because it has to do with life. We demand proper investigation and no body must cover up the truth”.
