Golfers set for Dolphin amateur open tourney

BEST of the country’s professional golfers are expected to show their talent at this year’s Dolphin Amateur Open Golf tournament teeing off Thursday at the Dolphin Golf Club Navy Town Ojo, Lagos.

Captain of the Club, Babatunde Ajayi said the tournament would also be used to showcase their excellent golf facilities especially hole six where single handicappers with long shorts can cross to make an eagle or birdie.

He said amateur golfers from all over the states would vie for various prizes over 18 holes on day one which begins on Saturday while the final 18 holes takes place the next day.

“We expect that several golfers will have their handicaps cut at this competition.

Prizes to be won in the best nett , best gross, nearest pin, longest drive and bogy as best of male and females all over the country will be on display”, the captain said.
