Bayelsa to inaugurate 16 Road Projects in April

Yenagoa – Bayelsa Government will inaugurate 16 road projects completed by the Sylva administration next month.

The state Commissioner for Works and Transport, Mr Emmanuel Frank-Opigo, who disclosed this at a news conference in Yenagoa, said the projects were spread across the state capital.

Frank-Opigo said the Gov.Timipre Sylva administration had initiated and completed 21 road projects since its inception in 1997.

He also said 15 road projects were ongoing in various parts of the state.

According to him, other projects completed by the administration included eight duplexes at Government House premises, and the Okpoama foreshore chanalisation in Brass Local Government Area (LGA).

The commissioner said government had similarly completed work on Koluama II cut-out chanalisation in Southern-Ijaw LGA, and access roads to Ogu, Akaba, Ogbogoro and Famgbe all in Yenagoa LGA.

Others are the clearing of the Yenagoa Airport site and provision of access roads to Yenagoa LGA.

It had similarly commenced work on the Dorgu-Ewoama Soukiri road in Brass LGA and the  Ogia-Okoroma road in Ogbia LGA.
