Noting that there are to be series of launches later in the year, he observed that although the drink ought to have been launched in Nigeria seven years ago, it had to be delayed because of an expansion process was being carries out in Indonesia for its successful entry into the local market.

In a presentation at the pre-launch event in Lagos the Country Manager, Mr. Didik said ExtraJoss symbolises extra energy, that is safe and affordable.

The drink, expected to be formally introduced into the market next month in Kano and later in Lagos, is branded with what he described as “beta” taste.According to him: “It is the biggest powder energy drink on the market. Although there are many energy drinks around today in Nigeria, we are bringing the beta taste, ExtraJoss is sugar-free, contains ginseng and Royal Jelly as well as 7 classes of Vitamin B. It is well certified for safety to be consumed by the muslim community, and diabetics because it is sugar- free. It is also certified by NAFDAC.

Didik added that, here in Nigeria, most energy drinks arre available in cans.

“This prices them out of the reach of the lower community, but much of the population is in the lower class, so because this is essentially targeted at the lower class, it is available in sachets. With one sachet, everyone can enjoy the same quality of energy drink that is in canned drinks, but with added advantage of an affordable price and lower caffeine level.”
