Great Nigeria Insurance (GNI) Plc says it has put in place a risk inspection and survey unit that will enable it assess and settle small to medium sized claims with out delay.
This is coming on the determination of the new management of the company to ensure it delivers efficient service to customers, ensuring that their claim obligation is attained in the simplest possible time and process.
Cecilia Osipitan, Managing Director/CEO of the company made the disclosure at the December Edition of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) Members Evening hosted by the company.
Osipitan said it is a new dawn in the company, stressing that on assumption of office a year ago management took careful examination of its operations, identified challenging issues and tackled them and the result of “our action has improved turnaround time, excellent customer service and prompt settlement of claims as well as good follow up on various aspects of the business”.
“ will boldly encourage you our friends and partners in progress to entrust your clients risks in our hands, so that you can confirm my assertions and give these clients the desired excellent service delivery platform” he added.
According to her, the company has in excess of N6 billion worth of assets and this she observed place it in a strong position to meet her obligation in the class of business it undertakes.
Teslim Sanusi, President, NCRIB said GNI has is as old as Nigeria cannot be taking away when taking decision about Nigeria.
He tasked the new management to take advantage of the GNI brand as household name to position the company again for market challenges.
He gave the assurance of the NCRIB to the company, stating that the quality of personnel in the new management is an indication that it is a company of the future and should be given a chance.
Meanwhile, in the assessment of the NCRIB, GNI met its rating as one of the ten category A insurance companies based on the following fundamentals- solvency margin, claims administration, capital base, human capital development, geographical spread, information technology and corporate social responsibility.
